Tortilla success!

I might wander over to my local Mexican store and see what they offer in terms of presses. Just out of curiosity.

I hear those electric blues. Still, with CI I get what I need for retention. Just gotta be ready for that periodic burst.

I have the Masienda press and also a Victoria press from Amazon. My two cents - both presses make good tortillas. Supposedly you can control the thickness more with the Masienda press, but I haven’t gotten that, maybe because I press my tortillas pretty thin in the first place. The Masienda press does have a bit more surface area to work with.

I found an ATK review on tortilla presses, both the Masienda and Victoria press are recommended

Tortilla press has been ordered.

My fantasy use case for this is that I learn to make corn tortillas, and get good enough at it to throw a family taco party where all the taco fillings are either (a) made by me in advance or (b) made by someone else a la minute, and I can focus on the tortillas.

Good luck! Even when you might think they’re imperfect, your audience will love them.
