[Toronto] and [Greater Toronto Area] closures of 2024

" RICHMOND COURT, Times Square, Richmond Hill " - CLOSING OF AN ICON

For over 3 decades, a reliable source for consistently good, casual Cantonese food, exemplary BBQ and roasted meat products and tasty Hong Kong style baked goods in Richmond Hill has followed the footsteps of another icon - 'O Mei ’ by CLOSING ITS DOOR… with ‘For Sale’ sign plastered all over the storefront.

After suffering from some serious arson damages a while back, the owner decided to forgo their successful business model by undergoing a major renovation and venturing into Dim Sum and banquet style fine dining territory! Guess this move back-fired big time! Sigh! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Sad.

Tough times for restaurants, especially the mid-range restaurants that are getting squeezed.

Fet Zun is closing permanently.
I wonder if Anthony Rose and his business partner will keep the space for a new concept, or focus on their other restaurants.

I don’t get to the Danforth often these days.

Megas has closed.

The most recent Greek resto at Danforth and Ferrier has also closed. Atlantis, and Ampeli before that.
