Yeah, there were two spills. Charley (sp?) spilled first, and I vaguely recalled that he may have called that out but perhaps didn’t clean it up much - or at least didn’t do a good job of it, if he made an effort. What the show aired was her slipping and she spilled and then just kind of went about her way without warning that there was a second spill. That sauce card thing though… sus
I was thrown off by her heritage too. She talked a lot about Turkish food and referred to some Turkish ingredients, but her accent didn’t remind me of of any of the employees I knew who were from Turkey. It was only in the recent episodes where I recall her specifically mentioning being Mexican, and I think that’s when the light bulb went off.
I watched last night but unfortunately had seen on social media who had gotten booted. Was pleasantly surprised when Tom said something about last chance kitchen. I guess I had assumed it was over but I guess they still have plenty of chefs left. I’ve loved her cooking so I hope she gets back in. The new guy almost seems the most talented of the whole bunch…
In recent seasons they’ve been doing a two-part LCK, with the second winner coming back near to the finale.
The eliminated chef was going strong until the previous episode, where she didn’t land in the bottom, but they didn’t have anything complimentary to say about her food. Maybe she just needs the mental reset that LCK could afford.
"During the early stages of the elimination challenge, chef Charly Pierre from New Orleans dropped a box of cream as he took a fast turn. A Looney Tunes-esque series of events then unfolded as Ozyilmaz next hit the spot, spilling more liquid onto the floor. “The floor is fucking slippery,” she calls out. Next, Milwaukee chef Dan Jacobs — who has been diagnosed with Kennedy’s disease — fell, invoking the ire of numerous chefs in the kitchen. That’s when Venkatesa called out Ozyilmaz: “Laura, if you drop something you need to clean it, chef.” Jacobs sidles back to Ozylimaz on the line, sniping that she’s not the only one in the kitchen. “The whole floor was fucking dirty,” Ozyilmaz replies. “I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Brittany Snow was also in “Hairspray” (movie) as Amber von Tussle, and in “John Tucker Must Die”, but I think she’s mostly known from the “Pitch Perfect” trilogy.
