FINALLY watched last week’s episode AND the last 4 LCKs. Whew! That 2-part LCK finale was intense! I knew the LCKer would pick the first competitor and knew the LCKer would win it. Was surprised at the 2nd pick, and when I saw the dishes, knew the competitor would win it. The 3rd competition was a complete surprise as to who went up against the LCKer. But I liked the LCKer’s final dish over the competitor’s.
Very glad for the person coming back into the competition.
Looks like you found it. I’m on Comcast cable, and they have LCK on-demand, so we get all the LCKs (1 and 2 parters) in once place available whenever they are ready. They usually take 1-2 days to appear after the latest episode has aired.
Directv get them - eventually! It can take a couple of weeks. The two parter showed up at the same time as the one from the week before, so I never even watched that one.
"A gig with renowned chef Michael McCarty at his Santa Monica restaurant Michael’s, when she was only 20, turned into the sous chef position within a year (she was the youngest sous chef in the restaurant’s history). "
I want a “gif” of her saying “Thank you”, and walking away after she explained her tofu salad. As much as I don’t think I would normally eat that, at this point her confidence sells it.
I will add that I’ve had really good tofu salads, or cold, tofu appetizers. Usually this involves special tofu (preferably house-made, so there’s a lovely fresh soy taste), but I saw Melissa just crack open a store bought one.
I really enjoy tofu, so I eat fairly plan tofu dishes a lot. There are usually light dressings on it that does make them very refreshing. I would definitely give them a try if you like tofu and find it on a menu.
This was my exact feeling after last night’s episode. I sooo wanted to see the food from this chef in the finale.
I also was reading your article on 10 things you didn’t know about Padma. So she breaks all her clean eating rules for the show I guess! No meats? She’s eaten pretty much everything on TC! And no fried foods? Our chefs love preparing fried food.
