The third episode aired on Bravo last night.
It’s always hard watching a meltdown, and I hope no one is looking for these types of moments. At what point do you just acknowledge competition isn’t your thing. I assume that is true for a lot of the earlier exits that it’s the competition nature rather than actual skill.
The only one I would have had felt embarrassed for was that one year when they started out with a greater than expected number of contestants and they jumped into butchering with the opener. I don’t remember what season this was. There was that one contestant that Tom walked up to and said something to the effect of you clearly don’t know what you’re doing, so you can go. Now that was a bad exit!
Yes, I watched last night, but came in to still see peeps sharing and discussing #2. ![]()
I love that they expanded the episodes, but with the later start, it’s a challenge. I wish they kept the original 8pm ET slot, or shifted that to 8:30pm to accommodate the longer run time.

I remember that one! Texas, of course. I’m remembering his introductory video, and I remember thinkinkg “Tyler” was not easily embarrassed.
Strangely non compelling so far. I think I need for them to whittle down contestants before I start caring that much. Also some of the cooking challenges have been weird. Oh well, I love Great British Menu happening now on hdclump.
I enjoyed seeing Tristen
I love Tristen! He was definitely a dominating force in his season (and my heart still breaks for him and his dad). I thought his feedback was good and helpful.
I don’t disagree, but I wonder if he can be fair with Anthony. Anthony said he would be “extra” with him, and I wondered about that with the collard greens. But not with the quick fire! ![]()
I thought the flavor notes for folks who don’t drink was a nice touch.
How about that “small urban farm”? I’m thinking of growing some okra this year!
I’ve always thought of chandon beni as the herb culantro. I’m going to check out the condiment version.
That farm was beautiful! I love when they do challenges that take them out to farms and such and really get back to harvested ingredients fresh. I was a little worried about spotting mushrooms though and harvesting that…had the thought “I hope xxx knows how to identify the right mushrooms” ![]()
However, it seemed as if the other judges were in agreement.
Yes. Clearly Tom felt it didn’t eat like an entree, and seemed to ask if anyone disagreed with him. It definitely sounded like it would be salty!.
BTW, while watching the part describing how Chef Laurence made the crispy rice on the bottom of the “Hoppin’ Huang” on Bravo I get what seems to be a playback error but I can see it on the Bravo YouTube channel.
They were shiitakes grown on inoculated logs.
Tonight’s episode had kids judging the quick-fire.
I never would have predicted who went home…unless I watched the LCK episodes above!
Does anyone miss the days when it was a bit of fun on top shelf? Like time to make the beef tongue? Were the chefs had a little fun with each other. Although I like Kristin a lot, I’m just finding these latest seasons, lacking something.
