Home made sourdough with a perfectly ripened yard avocado…buttered of course.

Looks similar to a panini press, or electric versions such as a Cuisinart Griddler or a George Foreman grill.

Very dangerous!

My Cuisinart Panini Press and Foreman Grill didn’t seal the edges.

I like the looks of this! How best to recreate?

The bakery seemed to top a 1 inch thick slice of sourdough with a Gruyere Mornay sauce, and topped that with very thinly sliced French ham. The toast seemed to be grilled in butter, then maybe broiled. It was great.

Less carby overall than most Croques, with half to 2/3 of the bread.
