So in thinking about the canisters, I used to have a set of four; used them for flour, sugar, coffee and tea. Over the years dropped it down to two, for flour and sugar. They’re stainless with snug glass lids and live in the kitchen pantry. Works for me, try to not to have too much stuff on the counter.
