My wife, not completely schooled in the way of the bagel, ordered a bagel and cc in Florence sc. I have gotten much better at not radiating disapproval and to her credit, she said it wasn’t very good.
As we were leaving I spied this wonderful bagel and cc combo on offer. can’t wait for an innovative bagelry in nyc to start offering it, I’m sure it will be well received by NYers.

I have learned to zip it when people tell me how good the bagels are in Mumbai these days. People who have never eaten a bagel not in Mumbai.
(That said, the bread game there is incredible, so maybe I’ll skip carrying them with me this time and run a taste test. Or maybe I’ll carry a few for my nephew and we will compare.)
That was a fun dive into HO’s past & an entertaining read — the ‘thread’ drift in particular
