The What Would You Order thread

  • Meat Lovers Beaver Dam Poutine as an appetizer
  • Breakfast sandwich on an English Muffin along with an Eggs Benny as an entrée
  • 4 Large Pancakes with Blueberries (because #health) and Chocolate Chips as my dessert

I should never order food after a 100 mile ride …

Then I’d like the left side of the menu, twice.

I ordered a Korean rice dog.

Which kind would you order?

Which condiments would you add?

Gamsung dog (with potato) with honey butter, spicy mayo and sweet mayo .

I’d probably do the ramen chip dog (or maybe the volcano with ramen chip coating, if that is available), with cheddar cheese powder and spicy mayo (or parmesan and wasabi mayo). Side of mac and cheese bites.

I had my first Korean hot dog in NYC in July. Not my cup of tea. I’d rather have a Chicago style pooch. So I’d go next door and order from them

It looks a bit like Mexican street corn. :slightly_smiling_face:

Agree!

I’m heading back to the Little Beaver in Komoka today, but for lunch instead of breakfast.
What would you order?

I have a good idea of what I’ll be ordering. I will post after lunch.

Merry Christmas!

Either the hot roast beef sandwich or the classic hamburger. With a salad.

Just curious how the hot hamburger sandwich is different than an actual hamburger?

Hot hamburger sandwich is a sandwich, with a hamburger patty on white bread, topped with beef gravy, served with mashed potatoes or French fries. It’s a saucy sandwich that is eaten with a fork and knife.

It’s often open-faced, but sometimes it isn’t. Gravy is poured on top, whether the hamburger is covered by a slice of bread or not.

It tends to be seen more in diners and old-fashioned family restaurants.

Oh, just by seeing the video’s thumbnail I know this will be good! (Cannot see the actual video though, youtube is asking me to log in).

So, what did you order?

I went with a cheeseburger, topped with tomato, lettuce, pickles, as well as extra crispy fries today (cooked longer by request)
It hit the spot. My friend treated. I didn’t pull out my smartphone to take a photo.

I was craving a hot turkey sandwich, another hot open faced sandwich covered in gravy. I’m roasting goose tomorrow, so I will save the hot turkey for my next visit.

Generally speaking, I despise corn dogs, so I don’t know if I’d fall in love with these the way some of my kids do. Guess I’d try the popular.

Meat lovers poutine and two eggs, sunny side up. That I would put on the poutine. Hopefully there is hot sauce on the table.

Diet Coke.

The coating is often chewier.
I’ve only ordered 2 so far, over the past 2 years. So I’m averaging one a year. I probably eat 8 hot dogs a year in total.
I like them.

Cassoulet. Sourdough toast. And the take on Bloody Mary.
