The perfect burger

Bongo Burger in Berkeley sells their famous Persian burger, made of ground lamb. Use to get it once in a while. IIRC, cooked to order med-rare. Also got the Kabob sandwich. They expanded the menu to include falafel and other Persian/ME food.

I don’t think that’s rare (pardon the pun) but I go to a few places that make burgers. That’s it, take them or leave them. By 1:00PM every day, they are sold out. People take them, including me. You don’t order R, MR, M, MWD, WD. You order a burger, and they are MR, every last one of them. We TAKE them (then pay, of curse.)

So, to sum up: perfectly cooked

I really like a blue cheese and avocado burger , made with a beef patty.

The guy uses great beef. Great beef, MR, why he sells out fast.

Hatch chile cheeseburger. Pretty damn close to perfect :yum:

Out of curiosity, how was the burger dressed other than those beautiful chiles?

Duke’s on both buns, Heinz & iceberg on top, thick sliced red onion on the bottom.

Need more seeds on that bun. Looks “pert damn close to perfect.”

For me, mushroom/baby swiss atop a local beef patty is my perfect burger.

Helen Rosner has some tasty thoughts on the subject.

April Bloomfield’s blue cheese burger was delicious. Maybe the best burger I ever ate.
