Similar situation here, except while I enjoy learning about baking, I don’t have the calling to actually do it. I find watching “Great British Baking Cook Off” scratches my itch. I just discovered the oldest episodes on Roku!

Great British Baking Show and Great Canadian Baking Show on the Roku Channel

The Roku Channel, which you can watch free online or on its app if you have a Roku device, has the first three seasons of GBBO, i.e. the ones that aired before PBS and then Netflix picked it up. To my knowledge, these never were shown anywhere else in the US. The Roku Channel also has Seasons 4–8 of the Great Canadian Baking Show, as well as non-food shows the Great British Sewing Bee and Pottery Throw Down, for those so inclined.
