The Roku Channel, which you can watch free online or on its app if you have a Roku device, has the first three seasons of GBBO, i.e. the ones that aired before PBS and then Netflix picked it up. To my knowledge, these never were shown anywhere else in the US. The Roku Channel also has Seasons 4–8 of the Great Canadian Baking Show, as well as non-food shows the Great British Sewing Bee and Pottery Throw Down, for those so inclined.

I was so excited about this I went to check but I guess the offerings are different in Canada. I can get all the cooking shows on our public broadcaster, but I’ve been searching for the sewing ones. I don’t enjoy sewing but it might be my favourite of the shows.
Yes, I think the licensing is different depending on the country, hence what non-custom content is available on each platform in the US vs Canada.
