The Good News Thread In The Age of Corona

I love that SO MUCH!

Paddington! I forgot him. Mom & dad brought him home for me in the 80’s (I. of course. had a keg party while they were in Europe.) I wonder where he is now . . . I gave many tiggers and bunnies away to nieces and nephews.

For sure. Just can’t eat eggs on their own. Don’t like frittatas either. Nothing where egg resembles egg.

This BooBoo bear (bottom pic) is a relatively recent (early 2000s) replacement I found online. I had an original one back in the 1960s (my sister had the taller Yogi Bear), and after multiple restitching of BooBoo’s legs where they kept coming apart at the seams, Mom convinced me in my teens to get rid of him. I really really really wish I hadn’t.

Absolute opposite. I wanted to get rid of Eeyore when we moved, but mom insisted I keep him.

@LindaWhit @gaffk if you have Netflix and enjoy British reality shows, watch The Repair Shop. Some episodes have two ladies who restore vintage teddy bears, so sweet I cried every time.

Meanwhile, all I have is a pig and a sea otter, what does that say about me?

You’re weirder than I? Or maybe more creative?

Sideways Boy, right? Love him - exactly the color and looks I would want if I get a second. My H would have to journey to the next world 1st, however. Same with the talking parrot I’d like to replace him with. Oops, didn’t mean to say that lol :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: just mean the bird would be my next companion.

LMAO @seal - reminds me of the ice cream truck scene in Boris! BTW, Sasha Baron Cohen is a great dramatic actor as well. Watched him in The Spy, based on a true story, and complete in 6 episodes. Excellent!

Why is that ridiculous? I just gave my S.O. a stuffed wombat, and she loves it.

Strangely, I dont think I have even one bear, but I’ve got many stuffed animals, and many stuffed animal puppets, especially of the hiding persuasion (snails, kangaroos).

One I keep at home is an elephant given to me by an adolescent patient at least 15 years ago. I’m pretty sure we thought each other was obnoxious when we first met.

Oh wait! I DO have a bear!

He has a back pack!

And how about THIS guy?

Mom gave away my ORIGINAL Barbie. You know what she’'s probably worth now? Oy.

That’s right @Lambchop My little #SidewaysBoy loves to be held and is a great source of comfort here in the house.

Pets are so wonderful! My fur baby is 1.5 years old, but we had gone 2 years without a cat, after our beloved tortie died at 19.

I’m glad Sideways Boy gives you such comfort. He’s so beautiful too!

I still have mine. Never played with her, although others did. Blech. I can still remember seeing it in my mom’s shopping bag one Christmas and thinking “what are they thinking?”

Apparently I wasn’t any more in tune with my daughter, who at eight said…“You don’t understand me…You’ve NEVER understood me!”

I really regard this is a good news story…
