So I went on Friday after work, because that smoked reuben was calling my name. It was delicious! It’s such a pleasure when every detail of the sandwich is just right. From the smoked corned beef with a tiny bit of heat, to the saukerkraut, cheese and dressing. It was a perfect sandwich.
There were a few other tables, but I was in early. The takeout business was going gangbusters. Kris was there, with his nose to the grindstone. He arrived and immediately started sweeping, then did some other clean up work, and then got right in the pizza making spot. He’s really got a good handle on every part of his business. Let’s keep supporting our favorite places!
We are continuing to support them by grabbing some takeout today. That ribeye and kalbi are calling my name. Just had deli takeout, both corned beef and pastrami, yesterday so …
So, I spoke with them over the phone and they said they were relatively busy today. This was born out as other people were also picking up food when we got ours. Glad to see it.
Keeping this thread about food ( a little ), I tried the cheesesteak pizza and wasn’t thrilled. The smoked prime rib needs the dip into the au jus or it just tastes a bit dry. The Kalbi and the burrata were both excellent.
I got curb side to go tonight because I really wanted something different and good. We ordered: Station 83 pie, hot honey wings, kalbi, cheesesteak (extra cheese), chicken tenders. Everything was excellent truly putting out excellent food.
Only complaint was we were told an hour which we arrived on time for but still had to wait 30 mins. Well worth the wait and great to see them doing a bang up to go business.
Thank you for waiting! We are crazy busy and sometimes it’s hard to figure out wait times. Honestly, I’d rather have you wait for your food to be ready then it sit and wait for you to get it. Thanks so much for ordering! We truly appreciate all of you! We are doing our best to keep up with the business! Thankful for the support!!!
Was back again last night for another excellent meal! Funny aside, I ordered at 4pm anticipating another 1 &1/2 wait and they said; “ok that will be ready in 20mins”!!! Lol Early dinner!! Still excellent regardless what time you have it!!!
Hahaha! We are always busy.(Very thankful for that) but it’s not always 1-2hr wait! We have recently added more pizza ovens and broilers for the kitchen to faster serve everyone! You can always call at 12 and place an order for 6 or whatever. Also, we recently launch online ordering where you can do the same things!
Listen - I’m going to admit I am breaking one of my cardinal rules about posting. I don’t like to repeatedly post about places every time I go because when I read several posts in a row by the same person it immediately sets off the “shill” alarm. So to anyone reading this I assure you I do not know anyone at this restaurant, never met the owners/managers or staff. I have -0- affiliations with this place but dammit, their food is friggin delicious.
This was supposed to be a quick pick up that was NOT going to be posted but then it happened… we called and asked the classic, up till this time I felt perhaps it was a trick question;
“Do you have the Big Mac pie…”
waiting for the standard reply; “No I’m sorry we don’t tonight”
instead we received: “Yes we do!!”…
Well the fat kid in the candy store inside me came out and we ordered the fabled Big Mac Pie.
Also ordered the kalbi and what I thought was just fried chicken. Turned out the fried chicken was a sandwich which bummed us out a bit, however it turned out to be the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. (Popeye’s you say? HA!!! I laugh at your Popeye’s chicken sandwhich!!!) Of course it’s made with their signature Hot Honey, which for the next Asbury Park festival I’m going to volunteer to sit on a dunk tank filled with hot honey supplied by the Galley and for $5. you get 3 chances to dunk me. (just throwing this out there to management)
Another great meal with very creative food. The Big Mac Pie is certainly something you need to experience but for me it was a bit too much. Fantastic flavor combination and I loved the 1 slice I had, but 1 slice was also enough it was too rich(?) decadent(?) - etc. for my taste.
I just spent some (small) time trying to play the GIF - but it was only the pizza-spacer.
I love this place and we have been happy to support them during the quarantine. Love the fact that the entire take-out box can be popped into the microwave for a few seconds to put the hot back onto things.
(What I am really missing is the occasional lunch at Pete & Elda’s)
Hahahaha when I first posted it I did the same thing, I thought I took a video of the pie!! Yeah they are putting out some excellent food, one of my favorite new casual places.
