Thank god I now can’t stand feeling stuffed! I enjoy it all much more the following day. Once someone suggested taking some of each item, wrapping well, freezing it. I did this and ate it a month later and it was so delicious, very welcome!

Well, whoever did it did a swell job!
A DISASTER is potentially looming…when H took the turkey out of the brine, he noticed it turned all brown. Turns out he used blackstrap molasses instead of regular molasses. I think it will burnish/ brown to a nice color, but I hope the strong molasses won’t impart too much of a flavor. He used only 1/4 cup. To say he’s in a fowl mood at the moment is not an exaggeration! But it is what it is - will let you know how it turns out. I see a Bloody Mary in my immediate future.
Can’t wait to hear, but it’s not a true Thanksgiving without at least one disaster! Fingers crossed. ![]()

Who knows, it could turn out to be the best turkey ever. Even if it’s not that great, it is just food, and not a great tragedy after all. Yes, the bloody, made with gin is just the ticket! ![]()
