Tex Mex Asian Fusion Article

Last Sunday, I read a compelling story in the NY Times Magazine, “Feast in the Heart of Texas”, about a massive meal created by chef Quealy Watson which melded Tex Mex dishes with Asian ingredients. I am a big fan of all sorts of food and these ideas seemed new, different and interesting. He made a cabbage slaw with Burmese fermented tea leaves & mint, an Asian chipotle mayo sauce with shrimp paste, a queso with sambal oelek, an Indonesian hot sauce, roast goat & duck. I’m planning to try some of the recipes this coming Sunday, 12/13/15.
