More for you!
Roll her a preprandial doobie.
LOL! That’s when I quit reading. God strike me down if I can’t make a better taco. than TB.
Here’s something!
I was skeptical about the article but his “rules” actual look reasonable - especially agree with the yellow cheese and the tortillas
I was at Torchys this week. Pretty solid meh
Posted this a few years ago on another thread but still my favorite tacos in Santa Barbara or actually anywhere.
This was Julia Child’s favorite; if I ever get to Santa Barbara, it’s first on my list.
Yeah, she made it famous, but the two owner’s/chefs have kept the quality really high and continually are adding specials like my favorite ever chili relleno’s and tamales with mole sauce and the best chilaquiles. If you ever get there-bring cash (no credit cards) and if it’s the summer go on off hours because the lines get insane. We always call mid afternoon, order what we want and then pick it up to go. It was great for dinner on Friday night and even better for lunch leftovers on Saturday!
I never understood the “hype” of Super Rica - it is definitely not a bad Mexican place but I found it also not remarkable special or above other places especially if you are living in California
One should not be eating tacos in Santa Barbara.
It’s not a taco town.
This includes La Super Rica, La Unica, Lilly’s etc.
By “etc” are you including Rincon Alteno… it should be the first one you mention.
Yeah, it’s not even the best of the worst.
If you are ever in Texas anywhere from the border to New Braunfels, Taco Palenque is awfully good for a small chain. However, I found their fideo a waste of a side option. I note that it is no longer on the menu.
Like most restaurants I love, their are very specific things I order over and over. For me the #16 is where it’s at. They also have a great chili relleno with cream sauce and the chilaquiles are my favorite. But to each is own.
Huh? You guys make me laugh (I assume you’re all guys).
Rincon Alteno had my head spinning from their tripas to lengua to carnitas to their buche. A great meal. I can find a few taquerias where I live that have some individual glory, one thing they do well, but as a variety, RA is a true winner.
