I saw Pops Butcher Shop in WLB is doing delivery via online order. Has anyone had any experience with them yet?
If it’s connected to the restaurant on the AP Boardwalk, I can’t recommend their food.
I just correct y post…had senior moment there…yes- would not eat at Pops Garage…this is butcher shop over in WLB by ShopRite
I’ve had good experiences with them as a butcher pre-coronapocalypse but haven’t used the delivery service.
Ty sir. The online delivery looks appealing and they have some nice stuff like steak pinwheels etc. wish they specified what brand chicken they used but alas will give it a shot I think. Have only seen reviews on yelp , but trust here infinitely more for reviews.
Would like to order Monmouth too but they don’t show as much online what they offer as far as ready to cook stuff like pinwheels or stuffed chicken.
Only a matter of time before Shop Rite jumps in. Longer lines, longer waits, and people already stir-crazy are going to blow their lids.
Honestly, in the matter of one week, I’ve noticed a change in demeanor by just observing people as they walk around. Last week, people were very generic and I did not notice any “hoarding”. But then a couple of days ago, people were more panicky and I saw at least three carts overflowing.
I’ve found SR to be most stressful of local spots by far during this ordeal
I haven’t been to shoprite. The aisles are too crowded.
I’ve stopped going there during this time. Trader Joes has done a really good job and was a much more calm environment.
Guilty of over stuffed cart.
I just went for a few things but after my mind numbing experience at Wegmans’s Manalapan today I bought everything I could to last at least 2 weeks.
Really don’t want to experience that anymore if I can help it.
Usually a very aggressive crowd at this location but today people seemed a bit comatose.
just an FYI M Silveri & Sons produce out of Lakewood is doing home delivery. $ 125 min for delivery, 50 I believe for pickup. The have white and wheat bread, milk, yogurt, eggs, Organic milk, OJ, olive oil, almond milk too in addition to produce, and they have online ordering as well. From pics online it looks pretty nice.
We just picked up an order from BJ’s. We placed it yesterday and it was ready within two hours.
You can’t order perishable items, just dry goods.
We went in around 630 and surprisingly the place was pretty empty. So we brought our order to the car and went back in.
Considering the late time, I was shocked they still had boneless skinless chicken packs, ground beef, other assorted meats as well. So we ended up doing a full shop and we are set for the next few weeks
any chance you got any paper goods or cleaning supplies or noticed them there? Do you just order straight through the website?
Are you the Ocean location or further north?
I’m guilty of this as well… Haven’t been in a couple of weeks, so the next time I go, I’ll be fully stocking up.
Well, that’s what they want people to do, rather than go every couple of days.
Does anyone have any recommendations for the best time to go (Aberdeen Shoprite)? If I go at 7:30 in the morning, will that be less crowded than later? And will everything perishable be out? I’m hoping to get some fresh fish.)
I went back to the aisle where the TP and paper towels used to be and they had something else stocked there.
We are good on TP so I didn’t go search for it.
We ordered through the website, you just have to have your member number to register, if you never creates an account.
Walked in, shows them my driver’s license and they went and grabbed my order
I just noticed that the ShopRite website is controlling traffic. It tells you how long of a wait you have before you can enter. Very necessary as last week it was obvious they were getting slammed with traffic and the site was struggling.
Even with that it seemingly can’t handle the load. Earlier this morning, after waiting 5 minutes to enter the site (not bad) response time got slower and slower until all activity eventually timed out. Subsequent attempts to re-enter have been unsuccessful. Looks as though I may be setting a 3AM alarm to to do my online shopping.
That’s VERY new…I tried going on (before even signing in) on Friday and couldn’t get it to load!
Online Thrive Markets has some pretty good deals on pantry items.
