I keep an old fashioned sugar shaker but filled with baking soda in the kitchen for quick application on hard to clean up pans. I had a separate one for the diaper bin back in my cloth diapering days. If baking soda can handle diaper stink I would suggest a generous sprinkle in the dishwasher to absorb some funk between loads
My new Bosch really wants to close all the time so I have a small silicone prep bowl someone gave me to prop it open a bit for ventilation.
I would probably start with some baking soda in the bottom of the machine, and then add another heavy sprinkle over the dishes as the machine is loaded. Some trial and error might be involved
I didn’t measure but I recall adding about a tablespoon per each loaded diaper which contained the stink
Sounds like a bummer. Brand new and stinks . Ughh. I would call the manufacturer or where you bought it . Should be under warranty.
.Could be a defect . Needs to be checked out .
