MANGALOREAN MUTTON GRAVY

I was looking for something different to do with mutton / goat, and this sounded similar to a Malvani preparation I enjoy, so I gave it a go.

If you have the ingredients at hand, it’s a pretty straight shot (if you don’t, it’s easy enough to substitute poppy seeds with something else creamy like a few cashews, and the whole garam masala with powdered, but you do need to toast desiccated or dry shredded coconut for the right flavor).

I used a pressure cooker to tenderize the meat, and added the potatoes after that.

Tasty and not too complicated. Eaten with chapatis, rice, and sauteed cabbage.
