Spelling Bee Thread — that is totally a (food) word!

Agree, I’ve never heard of it either… but Merriam-Webster has. :woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging:

Interesting that wasn’t a word in Spelling Bee - it’s one of my starter words in Wordle.

I’ve actually heard it, but couldn’t spell it.

It’s an old-fashioned word, but I knew it. Maybe from Little House on the Prairie or like that.

One of the attractions of the game for me is learning new words. Even if I’ll bitch about them here & never get to use them.

I might try to ‘bring this one back.’ I’ll be the coolest geezer on the block :person_white_hair:t2:

Folderol is good, too.

A word I encountered in the brilliant (but aren’t they all) Fiona Apple tune Better Version of Me:

“After all the folderol and hauling over coals stops, what did I learn?”

Silly (?) me assumed it was just another 'murrcan medication :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Gabapentin sounds like a synonym for chitchat.

It def trips off the tongue smoother than, say, hamalumizitibab.

OK, bad example. I made that one up and it sounds like David Lee Roth scatting in Just a Gigolo. But you catch my drift.

Lotsa food words today: banana, boba, bologna, oolong. No galbi.

It’s not food, but seriously, no pinna?

Also puzzling how they include words like doodad, booboo, and the foofafumfi (or whatever the hell that word was recently), but… not peepee

And multiple spellings of the same word. Aggravating.
