Spelling Bee Thread — that is totally a (food) word!

I keep putting nonna in, in case something changes. Same with anole and riata.

Lotsa food words today: pita, pizza, pepita, and paté, baba and tapa.

But no pizzetta/e, or batata.

Oh, man. Glad I only clicked on the first word. I totally blanked on the fact that I haven’t solved today’s puzzle yet :grimacing:

Not a food but definitely a word, which they don’t accept.

Gilet

Also gillie.

Today, a random Italian food plural. Wow, SB. And galette.

And gelee and tagliatelle ! Talk about random.

Man, today was a tough one. 3 food words, though

Today, galangal and longan, and of course, the ever-present naan

Didn’t get aioli without perusing the hints this time

TURD is not a word? SB, plz

Yeah. And I was annoyed about ting ..

Today: natto.

Yeah, a well-known silly exclusion, especially since annatto is included

Not a food word, but does the NYT really feel it has to exclude a perfectly acceptable word of the English language bc it might be… triggering to someone? The infantilization of grown-ass adults, I swear :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Lordt.

I can think of several examples besides that one.
