Spelling Bee Thread — that is totally a (food) word!

A food pangram today: mignonette

Oh shit. I shouldn’t have unblurred. I’m still 8 words behind, all starting with M, AND I have one pangram left.

So, “attagirl” is one word in the NYT version of the English language. Got it.

Which I shamefully did not get. (I got the other one, though.)

And I am absolutely mystified as to what the second pangram today might be. Meh.

Never would’ve come up with it in a million years.

Lord, no. I just looked it up.

Nigiri today, which I didn’t get until I looked at the hints

And I know the word. It just didn’t cross my mind until I looked at the hints.

Yup. Just like I always forget penne, since I don’t like them

OTOH I love most sushi.

Guess SB isn’t so hip to common use Latin, either

Lenten may not be a food word, but it is absolutely a word, ya silly NYT!

And elote IS a food word, but the NYT don’t care

Nori and boba. And the lowly onion, of course.

Arborio, tho?

Eh I can’t see what I’m blurring on my iPad; let’s just say some grandmas are acceptable and some aren’t.
