Here in NY we’re getting ready for what could be up to 18 inches of snow or more. I’m sure a lot of HOs are battening down the hatches as well. We are expecting to be snowbound Sunday and part of Monday and would like to do some family cooking projects. Thinking we’ll make lasagna with homemade pasta sheets. We also have been meaning to make focaccia - seems like a good a time as any to make some to nosh on and some to freeze. My new ice cream attachment for my KA mixer is chilling, and we have a half batch of homemade Magnolia cupcakes in the freezer that my kid wants to frost and decorate. What will you be cooking or baking while it snows?

I want to make pate aux pommes de terre on Sunday (worst day of the storm where I am) but I’ll have just cooked dinner for 18 on Saturday night, so I predict I’ll be too tuckered out to play in the kitchen .
Plus, I have to do all the shoveling ![]()

I never believe the snowstorm hype (because it’s usually bullshit), but I’m set for food & drink, and I have a lot of chocolate chip cookie recipes to try. Also eggs, milk and what I need to make bread, so if there’s a need for French toast, I’m good.
