Even if they do have a balut flavor, must they put that picture on the bag? They couldn’t think of any other graphic that might be more enticing?
When I was in Switzerland for a business trip, I found a guy who sold roast chickens out of his van. Not just any old van - the but the sides open up and the chickens are spinning on sticks. Wish I grabbed a picture of it! Reminds me of the fry guy and his faux car.
Ooh this brought back a bad memory. My sil’s housekeeper stored some spare plastic cutting boards in the (usually) unused oven, unbeknownst to everyone else. Someone (probably she, no one else used the main oven because the breville was always more convenient) turned on the oven to preheat… there was a fire… fortunately not too much damage, but grandparents and kids had to be evacuated. Oy. Not so funny irl.
I’ve actually done something similar (although more concisely). There’s a pizza place near me that lists mushrooms as a pizza option, but not a calzone option. So I order a calzone, check off “broccoli rabe” (which is a calzone option, but not a pizza option, go figure) and then add a comment that what I actually want in my calzone are mushrooms.
Haha, I had a similar dilemma this week while ordering pies. The blueberry pie wasn’t working (website error), but their mixed berry pie was and I debated for almost an hour to decide if I should just order a mixed berry pie and then add a comment that I really wanted blueberry, and the pros and cons of someone missing that or really messing this whole order up that had multiple items.
I ordered the Mixed Berry and my Peach Blackberry pie and left it at that. When I went to pick up, I told them about the website, but bought a small individual blueberry pie for myself (that was my real reason for wanting the blueberry pie – I love it; didn’t care if my coworkers liked it ).
All the pies were delicious so not sad with that choice, and the individual pie was really enough pie for 2 and I got to enjoy that all to myself.
