12 x 15 I don’t have memorized but 12 x 12 is 144 plus 3 x 12 is 36 more so 180. Clearly no discount at the sale price. Plus there is a calculator on even old flip phones. Sad that people don’t check. As Mr. Reagan said, “trust but verify.”

Having worked in retail I’m going to guess that the 21% off a case is based on the full price of $18.99 rather than the sale price. At least that’s how it would be framed where I worked. It may be somewhat deceptive but probably not illegal. We got called out often.
$18.99 X 12 = $227.88 X 79% = $180.03
I’m sure that is the case (ha! grin). I do think the sale notice should be explicit about the sale price being for individual bottles only.

I’m guessing they always give a discount when you buy a case, I know my local stores do, so may not have really thought about the discrepancy. Or were trying to up-sell to those who can’t do arithmetic.

Smoking is expensive in Australia, in fact the most expensive in the world (about $22/pack). Second most expensive is New Zealand (almost $20). Only a little more than $9 where I live. Should cost $25 and get rid of “designated smoking areas” altogether. But our petrol price is on par with Norway… ranked world’s top 3 most expensive.
This way it hurts a bit less?

I will venture a guess that that’s some sort of corporate gift. I worked for a company that gave us wine at holiday time with customized labels bearing the company logo.
