I have the original US album with “sukiyaki “ on it. Vinyl LP, of course.
Thanks for that. I grew up singing that song (the real version) without knowing what the lyrics meant, just kind of parroting it phonetically. When I started to understand it, I remember thinking, “Holy crap, what is this disconnect between the bouncy melody and dark lyrics?”
