SFBA shelter-at-home delivery/take-out roundup

I didn’t know it until this weekend, but husband had been craving Chongqing chicken, he said, for a month. We ordered some dishes from Royal Feast in Millbrae and went to nearby J Serra park to picnic. Royal Feast is offering 3 dishes from their currently limited menu, which comes with soup and rice, for $49.99. https://qmenu.us/#/royal-feast-millbrae/menu/1588836878024

Not sure if it’s too far south, but Da Sichuan has a very nice version, had it a couple weeks ago. They call it ‘manchurian’ for some reason I don’t fathom, but it’s the 1000-chili-chicken where the little nuggets have to be fished out of the bed of chillis. If that’s what you’re craving.

Too far south ATM, but I appreciate the tip. I do love fishing out those little crispy bits.

Very glad to hear that Le Paradis is doing takeout! It’s just down the road from us.

Kendejah is in downtown San Leandro, but Golden Safari, a Nigerian restaurant in downtown Hayward, is also doing takeout: https://goldensafari.net/.

We’re sticking with their food box for the moment, but may eventually buy from specific La Cocina alumni:

A 12-pack from Peaches Pattie’s are on my short list— their products have a great crust that eludes the perils of freezing.

Speaking of La Cocina, Reem Assil opened the Mission location of Reem’s right before SIP hit. As if her standard offerings weren’t destination worthy already, her apparent nod to quesabirria, “La Gringa” (Toasted sesame bread sandwich with slow-cooked lamb, Oaxacan cheese, pickled onions and a broth dip) is easily one of the best sandwiches in SF.

We got from Bluebird Pizza a couple of weeks ago because I was craving NY-style pizza and there’s nothing any closer to me. It’s only about a 15-minute drive or so.

In SF, Bayview Bistro features “Bayview chefs in the form of a weekly Bayview Bistro Box that is available for pick up at the Southeast Community Facility (1800 Oakdale Avenue) in the Bayview.”

After getting kale exhaustion from Tomatero Farm’s box I tried Baview Makers’ farm box and it was a nice variety. Not all local (they had bananas), but all organic and/or free trade. It had corn, 2 kinds of mushrooms, bananas, cauliflower, big onion - bunch of other stuff for $30, you pick it up Saturday morning at Allgood Pizza in Bayview.
