Have you ever been to Christine’s in the Atlantic Highlands? If not I strongly recommend it. Make a reservation and depending on your stature, make it early or late® if you prefer some elbow room. Unfortunately its’ a very small place and when it’s full it’s “tight”. I did not have a reservation when I went on Tuesday at 6pm, they were able to accommodate us however it was at one of the 4 tops in the center of the dining room. I had to “scootch” my chair just about every time someone passed. The servers etc. would negotiate it, but customers I had to keep moving in for. It’s the only bad thing…
The veal parm as pictured is a special order / request. The same veal chop is on the regular menu as Veal Christine, however the sauce is more a picatta (lemon/wine no capers) and although it’s a very good dish, I LOVE it as pictured above. Ron the owner / chef is very accommodating, but again you need to get there early or late, if you are going to have any special requests.
Chef Ron is a prince among men. Always friendly, always accommodating, always gracious and always always delicious.
Let’s hope this continues for a long time.

How about the final form of fat sandwiches, the FAT DRUNK GUY at Nelly’s.
It includes: Cheesesteak, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, hamburger, meatball, bacon, gyro meat, egg, cheese, onion rings, curly fries, mayo, lettuce, tomato and ketchup. I’d like to see @NotJrvedivici face off against this beast.

Ive hammered down quite a few fat sandwiches at nellys. I prefer the old school rutgers greasetruck ones but Nellys is decent.

My friends have gotten it a few times and they say the size has shrunk considerably from when they first started making it. Shame.

Speaking of shrinkage, have you been to port chop lately? Check this out…same dish and the prices went up! Keep in mind there are quite a few ribs buried under the sides on the bigger one. Is it me or is that a substantial change within a few month time frame? 
I think I’m done with that place. The mixed grill is now 28 bucks. It used to be like 18
So this was plate 1 of 3 for $ 10.38 and it’s within easy driving distance.

I took my friend yesterday for lunch, he’s a big sushi fan and he couldn’t believe it.
And yes for the manhattan lurkers, that is Jersey sushi made by Koreans and Fujianese, not Nobu. No need to get your noses all up in the air. Get fiesty about it and we will show you what we do with the yankee souvenir bats in Jersey.
Finally, it’s pretty damn tasty sushi too.

I stopped going to Port Chop, too much carb and not enough meat.
As for the fat drunk guy, I’ve never actually ordered it myself. My friend has gotten it a couple times and he said the first time it was enough food for like 4 people, but reports that it has shrunk substantially.

Joon to clarify, those dishes were the ribs. The big tray was like 10 bucks or so and the smaller tray was like 12 or so. The portions went down and price went up. 
The mixed grill…I will throw some pics up…good meal but I’m not sure worth the effort. Amazing waitress btw last time.
