I must admit that I don’t back to this somewhat hidden gem as often as I should. Excellent dumplings, very good ramen and interesting specials. Today I had the Braised Beef Beijing Noodle Soup ($12) again. “Beef shank, pickled mustard greens, homemade noodles, scallions, cilantro in beef broth”. The beef shank was excellent, tender and really flavorful. Look at that dark and savory broth, it doesn’t get much better than this. It was as good this time as the last time. I tried to use the spoon and chopstick but gave up after about twenty minutes. The noodles were just too slippery. I was also tempted by the Kimchi Fried Rice on the specials and also by the Taiwanese Pork Belly Buns.
It is really good with some nice kimchi funk to it. I also really like the veggie dumplings, pan-fried.
