Thanks for heads-up I usually get other desserts from them anyways. Will keep an eye out. I did have the St honore though during the time period fine so far
Thank you. Came here to say this also. https://recalls-rappels.canada.ca/en/alert-recall/various-pistachio-containing-products-recalled-due-salmonella-6?fbclid=IwdGRleANzVYJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHgNnOxZBwlwEVqJRoQBpkbCMISYou1yVCinnd2dyMoMmf-bt8NED-ChXqtxN_aem_zmexUst-I7ZDvLlw0gFqdw
Ok tempted for a smile so finally caved and got the cookie box from Laduree for a birthday that’s coming up hopefully I will be offered a sample ![]()
I enjoyed my visit to Le Beau on Cherry St today.
My only sweet was a cardamom bun. My friend enjoyed a salt caramel choux pastry (cream puff).
If you go on a Sunday, try to go before 12 pm.
It was still well stocked at 11:30 am, and the line moves quickly.
A lot was sold out by 1:30 pm. No line by 1:30 pm.
Hmmm didn’t enjoy this place at all. The macaron isn’t a macaron imo pistachio hmmm is below Delysee level. I think gelatin overload. Other than going viral for the way they look I don’t think much to see here
Hello chowfriend!
I just came back from a month-long food crawl of the Orient and West coast…SF, Hong Kong, Taipei, Kyoto, Osaka…etc.
I know you are a frequent customer of Toronto’s Four Seasons Patisserie.
I was having Sushi lunch at Osaka Four Seasons and walked by their Patisserie afterwards. Immediately think of you and your dessert postings!
Here are a couple photos of their offerings and products I bought. The intricate design of their ’ Mont Blanc ’ was so impressive!! Mega-bucks fruit tart using local Muscat grapes are to die for. The Pain a
u Chocolate so refined looking and tasted amazing!..using 70% French Valrhona Chocolate!
Oh! Want to see the cutest Coconut Pudding ever?!..from a Hong Kong Dim Sum restaurant!
adorable little Piggy.
Looks good Charles I hope you enjoyed your trip.
Plenty of ups and downs…not just food! Will start posting once I get all the photos sorted out!
To start off, how about leaving my wallet with passport, cash of 4 denominations plus credit cards at the airline check-in counter and walking off to customs and security with just a boarding pass in hand!! Glad lady customer service chased after me all the way past customs!
To finish, I deplane wearing the airline complimentary slippers instead of my shoes which I left behind underneath the seat! Only noticed half way down gang way!!

Hello my fellow ’ sweet tooth ’ foodie friend!
These cakes at the Hong Kong Jockey Club which I visited during my trip last month were to die for!!
Visited marvelous by Fred. Enjoyed it a tad more than the delivery. Though still haven’t tried their croissant yet.
Passed by the le Cafe hmmm at four seasons hmmm tempted but no dice.
The trusty old st John’s bakery has added cookie options to the delivery yay! Their shortbread is very enticing haven’t tried the chocolate chip cookie (don’t enjoy those)
Yuummm!! Hazelnut + Chocolate….nice combo!….unless chef cut corner and uses Nutella instead??!!

Hmmm I have tried some hazelnut item from there before I think not Nutella (thankfully) but it was very mild I recall in terms of taste. More on the creamier side IMO
If you like ginger cookies, St. John’s does a nice version.
Tatin bakehouse in Oakville ranked among top 5 in the world!! (I would say attempt at humor but this isn’t funny)
New Ontario bakery ranks among top five worldwide https://share.google/l8SC5xmzZwbFkNpzq
I go there fairly regularly I would say it’s good, but nothing is great for my tastes.
Roselle has brought back the holiday cookie box for 75$ hmm
might end up getting it as a gift
