QUEBEC FOOD CRAWL: PART 1

En route from Toronto via Kingston to Montreal

Kingston - Wooden Head ‘wood-fire oven’ gourmet pizza
Delightful, well charred ’ Neapolitan style ’ pizzas with
nicely salted, light and chewy dough/crust. Generous
amount of cheese and toppings. Excellent San Marzano
tomato sauce.

Montreal - Monarque
We picked this restaurant because it was one of the
few ‘better’ establishments that open on a Monday. A
later check revealed, to my pleasant surprise, it is rated
#17 on Canada’s Best 100 restaurant list! Decor and
ambience matches its title of one of Montreal’s most
beautiful restaurant. Reasonable ricing for this up-scale
‘Brasserie’.
