How I feel about the smell of cooking bacon, and how it lingers in my house even when the exhaust fan is on high and the two males here who love bacon take out the greasy paper towels to the outdoor garbage promptly. Makes me want to go outside even when it’s well below freezing.
Oh same. Turkey bacon is much less overwhelming for me. Since I don’t eat pork, none is cooked in the house (unless LLD know I am going to be away for a long time).
Impressively organized.
11:45 AM Friday: I’ve got the oven preheated to bake the first of the bundts, the triple lemon velvet bundt.
The excitement is building!!!
1 PM: lemon bundt into the oven.
Oh @mig, they are gorgeous!! As is your tablecloth!
Me and Mom ride that April Cornell vibe pretty hard.
I thought that it was AC and remembered your gorgeous Christmas AC tablecloth. Wish I could come over and wash dishes for you!! Good vibes coming your way!
The dirty little secret I’m working with is that I’ve had a terrible seasonal allergy situation this week. I take a daily pill every day starting in March every year; suddenly this med has stopped working (it’s my 3 or 4th year on this particular drug.) Been pretty miserable and sub-functioning this week as a result, which is not ideal. I’ve wrapped up work for the day, so I’m going to go get another OTC drug now in the hopes of kicking this thing into submission.
You poor thing! But you are still managing to do amazing work. Those bundts look beautiful.
The three of us here have been suffering mightily this allergy season Boston area, especially young adult male and me. Allegra working somewhat. We are tired and cranky and miserable in addition to the sneezing, post nasal drip, sneezing, sinus headaches, etc. This is a horrible allergy season, worst in a long time.
Only doing the most essential things here this past week, important meetings, etc. You are such a trooper powering through on this huge project through you physical misery and producing such beautiful bundts. Take sick day(s)! I would not come close to being able to handle all the scaling and keeping track in my condition.
Sending golden light, virtual energy, and hope for a new, effective, OTC!
Lookin’ good!
Drugs secured. LET’S GO!!!
Next: tacos for dinner. Then I’m going to bake some more
Go @mig!!!
Glad to hear it’s not just my body being a jerk to me right now I switched from fexofenadine to cetirizine, and also picked up a non-steroid antihistamine nasal spray that I just learned about, azelastine. I already feel better an hour after taking the med.
It’s so hot in the kitchen I can’t shape the shortbread dough to the pan. It’s in the freezer for a few.
