Potato chip flavors all over the world

Have you tried Storm Chips on one of your visits to Canada?

No, should I?

Some people like them a lot. The factory in New Brunswick had a fire over the winter, might still affect supply,

I don’t like ketchup or dill pickle chips, so I don’t go out of my way for commercial Storm Chips. I have tried them.

These mashups are taking over the world.

Sign of late-stage capitalism.

Saw these at a roadside gas station type stop in Vietnam on the way to Halong Bay.

But, but, but
 Pringles aren’t potato chips.

Now that I live in the UK, I call all such snacks ‘crisps’ (which the article you linked touches on). Here, chips are what would be called fries in the US. And don’t get me started on biscuits versus cookies

Upon opening the bag, I was amazed by the scent of roast chicken that came out. On tasting the first chip I was blown away. Like crazy good crispy roast chicken skin. Not chemically tasting. It really tasted like roast chicken.

I really prefer my potato crisps to be “violently” cooked.

I tried some more Thai Lay’s tonight:

Mieng Kam Krob Ros. These chips are miang kham - a dish of various fillings wrapped in a betel leaf - flavored. They are unridged. I don’t think I’ve had miang kham before so I don’t know if it tastes like it, but they were sweet with perhaps a hint of lemongrass. Not bad.

Scallops with White Cream Sauce
These were pretty good. They are ridged and had scallop flavor.

Were did you buy those (especially the scallops one) ?

I got them at the International Produce Market in the Mission, San Francisco, which used to be Duc Loi.

Masala potato chips bought at an Indian market in our area (Apna Bazar) were outstanding. I spooned thinned-out Greek yogurt into a ramekin to use as a dip, because these chips were so blissfully spice-forward. Far better than a Lay’s Magic Masala chip I tried earlier this year.

Roast Chicken chips are popular in Newfoundland. They’re available in Ontario sometimes.

Canadian Lay’s and Old Dutch make them

I’ve tried the Lays roast chicken, but I found that they taste more like gravy than roasted chicken. Not bad, bit I wouldn’t go out of my way for them again.
