Full disclosure, I am getting my prime rib at ACME, in Vernon, NJ. It is on sale for $3.99 a lb with an additional $25.00 purchase, it is the Lancaster brand bone in rib roast and it is better than expected. I am in no way a fan of ACME, but when they have sales for the most part they are very good sales.
I think it was a special order item in my local Shoprite in Norwalk, CT. I just saw it in their weekly flyer. If we had another couple over for Christmas dinner I might have bought one, but for two people that’s a lot of leftovers. I bought a LOT of Pat LaFrieda hamburgers this past summer. They were excellent and always on sale. I regret not filling up my freezer.
