it’s so much better a $22 panettone in my experience
I don’t spend money on beer, weed or smokes, so I spend it on one or 2 splurge panettones a year, and espresso.

It’s ok, I’m not a panettone connoisseur so it would be lost on me. You enjoy though!!

To be avoided: Aurora pistachio cream pannetone. Dry, and chemical-tasting cream. Supermarket purchase.

I just realized that what y’all call panettone was my mom’s basic cake with raisins and candied lemon and orange zest.
She’d let me eat the cake batter dredges from the bowl before putting it in the oven.
Who knew!

You’ve never had proper panettone before?
Don’t think so. I’m not a fan of candied fruit, nor much of a cake person 
Closest I got was mom’s. Just looked it up, and it’s called Königskuchen aka King’s Cake.
You can get them without the candied fruit, makes the best French toast
