I can’t imagine keeping something like that from one’s partner — not to mention believing that they wouldn’t notice & be terribly worried
If I do decide to go on Ozempic, imma buy the t-shirt and all the merch!!
Get smaller sizes for your “journey.”
XL-L-Med
Maybe hold off on the XS for now
With my massive shoulders and chest, XS is def out of the question…
Same.
Group Dining on Ozempic? It’s Complicated. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/12/dining/ozempic-group-dinner-restaurants.html?unlocked_article_code=1.Gk8.-nlg.kz2SgxZ-SL0i&smid=nytcore-android-share
A lot of current research seems to indicate that most people eventually gain the weight back they lost, regardless of how they lost it. The faster you lose, the faster you regain.
But maybe there’s hope after all?
Interesting that there was no mention of Ozempic in the article.
The active ingredient in Ozempic is semaglutide aka GLP-1, so yes, it is mentioned.
That said, I wonder if the other effects of the drug (lowering BP & glucose levels, etc.) also disappear. Let’s not forget that originally, it was used to treat type II diabetes, not being overweight — even if those conditions often go hand in hand.
My understanding is Wegovy is used for “extreme” weight loss, where as Ozempic is used to treat diabetes with the added bonus of some weight loss but not as much as higher dose GLP-1’s
See my earlier comment. Most weight lost is gained back over time. The faster you lose it, the faster you gain it back.
Reality sucks
Interesting article… thanks for posting it.
Pretty much most food-related studies, e.g. who lost how much weight, which ingredient is good for you, what food is healthy etc are underpowered, hard to control studies which have very little real life meaning
Ive definitely given ot thought and done some reading but so far I’m reading more negative about these meds than positive.
Now that I have insurance again Im hoping to get it sorted properly (thyroid and hormone testing).
Sounds plausible.
