You left off Jethro Bodine maybe the best double naught of all time.
Of course I realized soon after posting how asinine my post must have come across. Obviously if the bad guys were good shots, Bond would have been dead years ago.
Ah well, that’s what I like about this place. Hopefully…For Your Eyes Only.
Mere seconds ago Mr. Bond took out his first victim on Goldfinger. shocking. BBC America.
Wednesday is Blue Bloods day on ION
BTW - Judi Dench was the best M ever. Sorry to see her go.
Oh me too @Miss_belle, nearly cried!
Binge watched that some time ago. Are there new episodes?
If anyone has read the Bond books, they will know that Sean Connery is the only one who is “right”. Commander Bond is Scottish.
I’m with you. Dr. No is my favorite too, and Roger Moore was a good JB- although Sean Connery will always be Bond to me. I didn’t like any of the other Bonds, though Daniel Craig was ok. Didn’t like any of the others.
Don’t even!!!
Getty Challenge. Plenty of food references.
When you say binge watched not sure if you saw all 9 seasons back to back or what. They don’t show them in any particular order. One of my favorite shows. Really like the Reagan family and everything they stand for. I always pay careful attention to the family dinners. They don’t impress me much. Mainly some kind of boring meat and potato’s. They should have stepped the food scenes up years ago. Danny boy always spears an uninspiring salad. But he gets away with a lot on that show. Every character is well cast.
Yes back-to-back. There is a lot of background noise in my lab - my wife rolling her chair above my head, the furnace, beeping instruments recording data, four sump pumps cycling…so I have something going in the background almost all the time. I’ll turn it off for high concentration tasks but for production writing, navigation planning, most other planning, and simple day-to-day work something is running. I can’t remember whether Blue Bloods is on Netflix or Prime Video but I watched everything available one after the other.
I do like the characters, and I like Tom Selleck as the person I think he is.
This is fun. I’ve seen some really creative people out there. We challenged our nieces and nephews to do this. DH did one too. To keep it food related, this was a left over gum drop for the hey stack.
Fun! I’m working on one with my brother.
We are on The World Is Not Enough now. I never trusted Sophie Marceau from the get go. Beautiful woman but. bad news …
Mine too. My favorite episode continues to be the season 1 finale when they family confronts the cops that killed Joe.
Me too.
You can binge them on Netflix except for current season.
Just watched the documentary on ESPN about Alex Smith’s devastating injury while playing for the Washington Redskins. Called project 11, it’s quite fascinating, and is only an hour.
This might be the most significant story coming out of the CoronaVirus battle:
This is an update on my boat delivery some of you find entertaining. Since I last reported I did a big shop at Sam’s Club (warehouse store). Later this morning I plan a final shop at Giant Food (our local grocery). We’ll see how that goes. We won’t starve but I do try to feed people well. Then we’ll load up the car and my wife will drive me to the customer’s home where we’ll transfer “stuff” to the one-way rental car. That, by the way, is an adventure in itself.
For those so inclined and without enough to do you can follow us using my SPOT tracker. https://maps.findmespot.com/s/D97H . The history view is most interesting - click on the clock with an arrow around it (second down on the black bar at left) and then the 7d tab.
We should have Internet for most if not all of the trip but I have a good bit to do so I may not be very responsive. There will be pictures. grin
This by the way is the boat https://www.unitedyacht.com/used-yachts-for-sale/nonsuch-40-nereus-1989-caramba-2767355#details .
Weather looks good. Fair winds, moderate, and no rain. Going to be chilly so I’m taking my woolies and two sleeping bags. For weather geeks https://www.weather.gov/marine/nwatlanticbrief . For my friend @Harters who I have never met, our US version of the shipping report is substandard.
I’m not completely onboard with easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the US. I think it’s premature. We’re going to be very careful.
