One-Pan, One-Pot Thanksgiving Dinner [NYT]

You may well have seen this one before (2020) but it’s new to me. One-Pan, One-Pot Thanksgiving Dinner fromThe New York Times (gift link).

I watched the video while procrastinating on other tasks at hand. Masterful how Melissa Clark scales down a Thanksgiving dinner, using just one oven-safe pot and a single sheet pan to boot.

Love Melissa Clark stuff! The comments section is so entertaining too. Various grumpy takes on “This isn’t actually just one pot (because it’s re-used)” and “I don’t like brussels sprouts so no way I’m going to try this.” Okay, thanks for sharing. But best comment, hands down: the person who couldn’t find a boneless turkey breast so used a chunk of deli Boar’s Head instead…and the recipe turned out great, super juicy. Really???

Delightful, and a bittersweet memory of how we coped, or didn’t, during the sad and terrible first year of the pandemic,

Comments in the NYT Cooking section are often better than the recipes.
One can easily spend an afternoon wading through all the “substitutions”.
