NJ's best sub/hoagie shops

You know, now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone ask for mustard on a sub before. Or a sandwich. It gives me that twinge of nostalgia, and I do love it on a simple ham sandwich from time to time though. Especially with the neon yellow kind.

I will not eat a deli sandwich with cold cuts without mustard.

Well, that is a half of a half and they also added three 1 oz containers of relish on side. Only used 1 more and since it was my first time I abstained from adding mayo. Was pretty messy anyway with the relish.

You and I would be scorned in NJ, it appears.

White House seems to get some mixed reviews, but man I am a huge fan of it. I guess it depends on who makes your sub, but I’ve been many times and it never disappoints!!

Those pics are making me hungry!!

That’s ok.

NJ is basically NY’s dumpster.

Wasn’t an Anthony and Son thread so thought I would post here.
Stopped in to their Route 10 Succasunna location for some Semolina Bread, Alto Cucina tomatoes, Caponata, Sausage filled Long Hots and some Pastry.
The sandwich. While I was checking out I heard the employees discussing a sandwich/sub that was made twice for a to-go order and there was an extra.
Without knowing what it was I shouted out that I would pay half for it. It was tossed, literally, to me and wasn’t even charged. Still warm too. Delicious free food. Breaded chicken, fresh mozz, roasted peppers, arugula, OV.
Reminded me of my request that a server bring me whatever they recommend, which I have done more than a few times.
Worth checking out if you are in the area.
