Yes, but not local. The Sicilian place in Garfield.

Menu doesn’t have the pasta con sarde or anything that local restaurants don’t have but thanks anyway
Did you ever pursue the actor background leads I sent you
Hope all is well.

I looked at the menu and did see it. It’s a ways down.
.

Apparently I am blind as well as deaf, upon further review thanks to @eleeper I took another look and lo and behold I owe you an apology for doubting your ability to find the holy grail of Sicilian cuisine.
Now I need to get my group together to get to that restaurant. Thanks again for your help
Only about an hour’s drive so it’s a very doable drive for me Thanks again :wine_glass:

Thank you for pointing out that what I was looking for was right in front of my eyes

 I was about to come in hot!

I have not personally been yet, the day we were going I got called out of town but my family says it is very good. I beg of you to steer the rest of your party from the more obvious choices and focus on the Sicilian offerings. From what I gather the owner family is first generation from there and I have not seen a menu offering the variety of Sicilian choices just about anywhere. Sfingione, anelleti, the requisite Norma, pasta con le sarde, spiedini, etc.

Thanks for not coming in hot I originally just skimmed through the menu and jumped to a terrible conclusion
The technical director is going this week and the writers as well
My friend wrote a book called The Descendants ( Linda Stasi) and it’s based on her family and it’s being considered by a studio and there’s a couple of people who want to get some flavors from the region before they get to work on a screen adaptation without going to Sicily

I’ve been semi-chuckling all morning. Going to the Chefs who Care event for the Ashley Lauren foundation tonight. I was reviewing the folks who would be in attendance and saw our old Langosta/Russel and Bette’s friend. So that made me review the old threads

I will be wearing a @coldbeer70 name tag.

I don’t know if this is news, per se, but thought I’d share. I find a lot of this to be right on point; how about you?

The Death of the Neighborhood Restaurant in NJ

If a family “restaurant” costs $163 before tip and drinks for a family of four, no one should be surprised that people aren’t dropping in every week.

My suggestion: bring in that shrinkflation everyone is talking about. Stop serving meals where a single entree would feed two (or more!) people. Or offer “senior” (or “junior”) portions: half the size at maybe two-thirds the price (the equivalent of the short stack at breakfast). Offer a four-ounce burger as a cheaper (and healthier) alternative to your eight-ounce one. (That’s still the size of a quarter pounder.)

And when did $3.95 for a can of Coke become reasonable?

Oh, and lose the salt shaker. I dread eating out when I know I’ll be drinking several glasses of water in the next couple of hours–and for older folks, that means more bathroom trips in the middle of the night.

Interesting. Being in Spring Lake puts a twist on her past connections with underdeveloped communities. I wonder where the liquor license came from - SL is not known for its bars.

In any case, Shanghai Bun also makes their own noodles.

New ice cream place in Red Bank. This was the line at 7pm on Wednesday. Must be some good ice cream.
