I love the espresso mocha chunk that @CurlzNJ mentioned above. Other than that I find their flavors pretty average from a creativity perspective but well executed.
Jersey Shore Restaurant Week Nov 8-17
I was looking at this last week after we left the Elbow Room.
Nothing really jumping out at me
Me neither–and not exactly the bargains that restaurant week deals used to be!

( FYI there is a new place in Little Silver Called Family Tavola, not only is the food great, but the owner is one handsome SOB)
Exactly. I noticed a couple of places only offered the prices ng before 6 or some time similar
I am! Thank you for sharing.
Benchmark Breads has opened a storefront in Little Silver! They’re at 141 Markham Place, which appears to be all of a mile from Family Tavola. I see carb road trips in my future…
For those who aren’t familiar with their breads, they’re excellent - and on the menu at a bunch of GOOD restaurants (Cardinal Provisions and Lita are just two of them). They’re at our local farmer’s market and there’s always a line well before the market opens and then they get cleaned out pretty quickly.
Yes! Their sour dough is legit! I can’t tolerate white flour. They use wheat flour, whole wheat, and sour dough culture so I have been enjoying WAY too much of it recently. The loaves are huge so I usually freeze half of it.
Happy Thanksgiving, you HOs! Mayer tables always be full of great food and people you love.
Same to you.
Just got home from Belmar an hour or so again.
Started the stock for gumbo, just in time for the cold weather
OHLERDLETTHECHINESEFOODBEGOOD.
Yes, @hungryonion that is a complete sentence.
I’ve never been to the TR location but know several people who like it. Though the menu sounds pretty standard it’s supposed to have more of an upscale vibe. and describes itself as a “Chinese Bistro”

I just looked at the menu, bacon egg and cheese fried rice??? I’m in!
I hope so. The spot is just being used for parking now, been spending happy hours at the Elbow Room across the street recently. The fact that the owner of the ice cream shop next door to the elbow room refused to rent the parking lot to the elbow room in the winter boggles my mind. Instead he just restricts access and it just sits there, unless there are some liability issues if he did that.
Steamed. Peking. Duck. Buns.
I just went there today, having given up on Aberdeen because of the brokenness of it’s interface with the app. (See Supermarket Peeves for details.) Finding things was easier because the app had real locations for things. They also seemed to have more small carts. It will take some getting used to, of course.
One question right off: do they have prepared foods from Dearborn Farms like the Aberdeen one does, and if so, where? And do they have a day-old bread rack (and a day-old Dearborn Farms case)? The place is so big I could wander forever looking for them.
