I bought a pint of the cranberry walnut and plan to use it as an ice cream cake filling once I bake an orange poundcake loaf.

For those who aren’t following NC on social media, they just announced they have BASIL ice cream today. One of my favorite chefs (Zod Arafai, formerly of Blu in Montclair) used to make basil gelato every summer and I consumed huge bowls of it each year.
I’ll be near an NC location on Wednesday and am already planning. Talercio’s rainbow cookie ice cream and now Basil. In separate cups.
I may just have to stop by the new Wall location one of these days.
Basil. Delicious, but as always, I’d want even more basil flavor. That said, the scoop was full of flecks of basil, and full spoonfuls had far more flavor than the tasting spoon did.
That is my problem with Nicholas. I find the flavors need to be more pronounced and/or more evenly distrubited through the scoop.
Yeah, I think many HOs would agree - we’re willing to go bolder! That said, their ice cream is still DELICIOUS. I was bummed that the container of Talercio’s rainbow cookie collab was down to the bottom/sides and didn’t want a scraping - next time! But they still have the black raspberry/choc chunk which was awesome.
Mr Bean has been on this pistachio kick - their’s is delicious!
