I saw that too… never got to try it last year, but I suspect it’ll go quickly, so a trip may be in order! Last week I had the GOAT, which was a goat cheese/strawberry/balsamic mixture. I loved it because of the tanginess of the base and the strawberries were delicious, but as has happened a few times, zero balsamic flavor (for me, at least). I suspect they love to make these unusual batches but hold back on some of the flavors because they’re afraid they won’t sell. I’D prefer to taste the balsamic, but that’s me.

If you are following the story -or- if you weren’t you are now. So after my wonderful take out dinner from Little Szechuan we stopped at Nicholas to try that corn thing he’s doing. I’m not a big sweets guy let alone an icee cream person, I much prefer Italian water ice.
The wife wanted the corn thing and what’s that saying? Happy wife happy nothing I do is ever enough?? (Surely I jest) Sorry I digress, so this corn thing is crack cream! If you are like me and love summer corn with the buttery flavor this is for you. I’m a big fan!!
This is really friggin good and I’m sure my A1c is a 9 but it was worth it!!

Recently stopped at Nicholas in Atlantic Highlands. Bill was $10 and a few cents. Handed the girl a $20, then quickly got a dime from my pocket to give her to avoid getting $9.94 in change. She said, “sorry, I already rang it up.” I was like wtf. No complaints about the ice cream though.

True dat! I was in a coffee shop and when I handed the woman at the register 3 pennies along with a $10 bill, she took out her phone to use the calculator to figure out the change she owed me. Maybe she can do advanced algebra or calculus (I can’t), but that’s the math I can do in my head with no problem!

None of the locations are close to us. However, we’ve been to Kunya Siam Thai several times during the past few months (lovely outdoor garden for which they take reservations), then sometimes go very conveniently across the street to the Creamery for dessert. Last Thursday, I could hardly believe we were sitting on one of the outside benches enjoying our delicious ice creams (Tahitian Vanilla for him; Goat Cheese Cherry for me) on a sunny summer-like day in October!

Yesterday I found myself in Red Bank early for an appointment at Riverview, so up the street I went for a pre-appt treat. NJ Blueberries and Cream. OMG. Freaking delicious. No regrets.
