Begins October 6 on PBS. I never watched A Chef’s Life, should I? I have used her cookbook a lot, Deep Run Roots.
I found it be a reality show, not a cooking show, usually one recipe, but much more drama arguments with her husband, staff problems, being busy writing a book, opening two businesses , her daughters showing how motherly she was…
What I read about the arguments with her husband made me cringe. Their divorce sounded inevitable.
Well, in fairness…… it WAS called A Chef’s LIFE, not A Chef Cooks. Just my 2¢.
I caught a few of her shows on the Create channel awhile back. I wasn’t impressed. You got to hand it to her for someone who keeps reinventing her self in the food business.
I knew she had twins, are both girls now?
don’t know how i missed this. watched a couple of episodes online. agreed, not enough cooking — can’t wait to see her and the husband. some of the recipes look interesting and are available on the show’s website.
They divorced a few years ago.
not surprised. it always felt as though he was sacrificing his career for hers.
I watched A Chef’s Life and I’ve been watching this one. Somehow didn’t know about the home life! . There’s another thread here somewhere.
Here it is.
she has a boy and girl (twins)
I thought so, jusy curious about JMat’s comment from August.
