Kitchen Curious??

Has anyone seen Vivian Howard’s new show - Kitchen Curious? It supposedly debuted yesterday (Oct 6) but I haven’t been able to locate it on any PBS station in SoCal despite a Google search saying it would be aired there.. It’s on something called CreateTV, which is an analog TV ‘channel’ I don’t have access to.

Looks like it’s streaming on pbs.org:

Here is the Episode Guide in case anyone else is interested in the show.

Thank you for the heads up! I am not seeing it on KQED, but seeing lots of other interesting stuff.

I’m not sure of the difference, but maybe PBS Passport?

ETA I am seeing it in Nor Cal on KQED and KVIE (I’m in between). I didn’t recognize her!

THANK YOU!! My search seemed to show only subscription based sources at PBS. It doesn’t appear that the PBS SoCal stations have scheduled it yet, which is curious in itself.

At some point I will understand all of the variations on “public television”!

CreateTV (I think) is one of the ‘alternate’ channels under the PBS umbrella - or at least it’s a home to a lot of the PBS craft and cooking related shows (gardening, cooking, sewing, etc.). If it’s not a channel by your cable provider, you might be able to pick it up with a digital antenna, if you’re not in a particularly remote area. That and PBS’ World channel I can get with the antenna.

The name Kitchen Curious made me giggle. It makes me think of someone who just lived in another part of the house. Like, normally I’m a bathroom person, but after some exploring encouraged by friends, I’m now kitchen curious. (Yeah, my brain is weird). Is this a show geared towards beginners?

I was able to watch episode 1 on pbs.org (thanks to MrGuyGuyGuy) and one of our local PBS stations is now listing episode 2 for next week. So far my take is that it’s aimed at an audience that has a degree of experience and interest in in-depth discussion of some topics.

I caught it on my PBS station kast weekend. Another Vivian reinvention. It was followed by the show with her husband and their restaurant woes.
