New items you’ve purchased at the grocery store

I really love these, have you tried them? https://www.swansonvitamins.com/p/barbaras-bakery-cheese-puffs-jalapeno-7-oz-pkg

If a honey market purchase (locally) while visiting counts then,

The pineapple infused honey was spectacular on grilled pork loin.

Their recipe page has plenty of inspo.

Finally tried them and glad I did. So fresh tasting compared with non-refrigerated jarred pickles. Will be a repeat buy.

This Cowboy Candy is delicious.

Lakeside Pickles are sold at Sobeys (one of the big 3 grocery chains in Canada), and also at my indie greengrocer in London, Ontario, Doris Family Produce.

I bought online but now avail at Target and WFoods. My niece enjoys a sweet spice combo and gave these pops a :+1:.

Blood orange popcorn sounds like a bridge too far for my taste buds.

This stuff is everywhere (or is it just me?)!

A week ago husband brought these home from one of his patients who I believe works there.

Some of the four bottles had no labels, so I’m not sure if they are all the same. We felt it was reminiscent of hoisin, but it’s apparently miso.

Today I saw this at Costco

Then, probably because I was searching, this article fom ast week shows up!

Has anyone tried it?

I had it once somewhere and it tasted like Teriyaki Sauce (and not even a good one)

Fun fact: as a kid, I’d mostly gone to the American movie theater in the small US housing area in my hometown, so I was accustomed to salty popcorn. First time I went to a German movie theater & ordered popcorn, I was severely disappointed to find that it was sweet.

Still far prefer salty popcorn over sweet — save for those bagged concoctions with chocolate-drizzled popcorn. Those are dangerous.

“Our” theatre near Paris actually offered salé and sucré

Germans have long caught on, too. Same industrial salty popcorn you get in the States, but the “I totally can believe it’s not butter” topping hasn’t made it across the pond yet… bummer?

I was horrified to taste something called “kettle corn” that my niece and nephew were eating. Much too sweet. If I wanted sweet popcorn, I’d get Crackerjack, but I don’t.

Good kettlecorn is a balance between salty and sweet. It’s not nearly as sweet as caramel corn.

Available in Ontario, made in Windsor. They’re good. Ready to fry, don’t need to boil first. Also good boiled. I buy them at Remark Market in London, ON. I have occasionally seen them at Sobeys.

They’re not bad!

I’ve just seen it, too, but I haven’t tried it.

I keep seeing it, too. I have yet to take the dive, though.

Just had them last Saturday. I didn’t get the Old Bay taste so much as the taste of chicken cheapo ramen noodles. I didn’t even tell my kids and they both agreed. Just like chicken ramen.

As a Marylander, Old Bay is famous but overhyped. Many Maryland venues use J.O.’s, not Old Bay.
