Your making some pretty big assumptions, none of which are even remotely true. My emails to her about the email address change/confusion were direct and to the point, even to the extent of making it clear the whole mess stemmed from ME not notifying CH of the address change which intern cut off the communication channel which resulted in me not seeing the Mod warnings.
Please refrain from making assumptions about matters you know nothing about. Some of the most prolific CH contributors, folks who made the site what it was and pre-dated the current MGMT team by close to a decade received equally inconsiderate treatment from her/them.
I for one would like for you to fine one CH member who contributed/helped more fellow Hounds with kitchen equipment than Kaleo. He even helped me identify a 45 year old toaster!!!
Iâm making assumptions based on what I can see: your posts here, and kaleoâs end times on Chowhound. If you enjoy railing against the grave injustice that has been done to you and yourân, have at it - Iâm interested in what you have to say. It certainly seems as though the incident you were purportedly booted for was not, in itself, a hanging offense. But I have a hard time believing it was simply a capricious act of nastiness on Chowhoundâs part and your halo is otherwise unsullied. And like StoneSoup & linguafood, I donât understand why you canât just let.it.go.

I was critical of CH changes as were many other long term Hounds. I think maybe the frequency of negative comments by Hounds was more than the new MGMT team could handle. Forced silence is rarely effective and clearly that is one of the paths they took. Lacking an explanation for all the suspensions, one is left to draw their own conclusions.
I think most folks including myself have let it go and only chime in when an old wound is opened. I didnât scan this thread but it has been quite some time since my previous comments. In my case it was CHâs continuing to send me email spam after suspending my membership that itched my butt.
Agree wholeheartedly. No one likes to be raked over the coals so enthusiastically and for so long. You can see how there might be just a little lashing out.

So youâre equating âPITA as far as kaleokahu is concernedâ with âPITA as far as Chowhound is concerned.â Iâm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didnât type that with a straight face.

My first set of wheels had an 8-tack player in it & there is probable still a big box of 8 trackâs up in the loft. AM radio was also big. Vinyl did make a comeback though. In the end its all good.
Seasons change and so do peoples likes and dislikes. I really liked CH but like myself things change with time. Fortunately somebody picked up the ball and started HO to give us an alternative. Maybe someday all will merge. Hell if I could predict the future I would be hanging out on E-Trade instead of a food site:wink:
