MIDDLE AMERICAN (USA) - Cuisine of the Quarter, Summer 2018 (Jul-Sept)

I saw a great exhibit on Bakersfield at the Country Music Hall of Fame. If you’re even a tiny bit interested in the music, I hope you’ll explore!

Agree, absolutely fascinating article, didn’t know about any of this. Can’t wait to hear about (and maybe see pictures of?) your eating adventures!!

Very interesting article, I cam across ….

The late Jonathan Gold. Never knew the name but now I feel the loss, too.

I saw this book with recipes from Iowa at the library book sale event this weekend. Anyone cooked from it before?

Another one from the badger state.

I’ve never seen either one. I’m not real fond of Iowa, but the Wisconsin one sounds cool o

These are all from the Ford Times cookbooks and I forgot to ever upload them.
I always thought their definition of South Central was much more true to the food I grew up eating rather than the traditional Coastal view that everywhere from Ohio to Kansas eats the same.
I missed a description looks like. Now I gotta find the book again.

Unfortunately, this interesting sounding article is behind a paywall. Thanks for trying…
