You have to tear the bag open immediately so they dont steam.
Yup. Their burgers ain’t half bad… for FF.
Also true. They and In N Out (when Im west of the Mississippi) are my favorite burgers.
I like Culvers other food, but their fries and burgers are meh.
Call me skeptical, Mickey D’s is a corporation. I believe Michael Pollan more than a corporation.
In any case, if monitor is no longer used…then the next question is what pesticide replaced it? Given potatoes are pesticide sponges, I’ll pass.
If pesticides on a massive corporate level doesn’t bother you, go for it.
Consolation prize ? – decent burger and new side worth a try:
I like the one Culver’s burger I tried on my way home from Pittsburgh in 2018. It’s really popular on Sundays after church lets out in some parts of Michigan!
I wish we had Culver’s in Canada.
I rarely order fries or hash browns at McD’s or Wendy’s. I can remember ordering one chicken nugget and fries combo in the past 5 years, and I’ve had a few Egg McMuffin combos. I’m just as happy not having their potatoes.
Just burgers, sandwiches, drinks and occasionally one of their desserts.
I went to In n Out the other day and realized just about all fast food fries are blemish free and not pesticide free. Of course the fries were limp and bit chalky, so won’t order those again. That said the double double is $6.80, a good deal for fresh beef and made to order. Yes, there are obviously better burgers, but not for the price and quality.
Heaven.
Is that a customised Filet o fish @ipsedixit ?
Yes.
Two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches deconstructed to make a MEGA-O-FISH.
So you discarded one bun or got them to make you the fishy equivalent of a Big Mac with the middle bun being the one they use in Big Macs? I need one of these sandwiches in my life.
Have you tried any other fast food fish sandwiches lately? I have only tried Filet o’Fish.
Sort of.
Got two FoF sandwiches. Took the fish and bottom bun from one FoF (because that’s where the sauce and 1/2 cheese slice was) and slid it into the middle of the other FoF.
Come over, I’ll buy you one (er, I mean, two).
Yes, but I don’t really consider the FoF a “fish sandwich”. It’s a food group all unto itself.
As to fish sandwiches, I think the Popeye’s one is pretty good. Brioche bun for the win!
I have to say, though, the Filet-O-Fish, even the MEGA-O-FISH just seems like such a small sandwich now.
Either my hands have grown, or the sandwich has shrunk, or maybe both.
But I remember (yes, I know, I sound like “get off my lawn” blue faced guy) when the Filet-O-Fish seemed like a real deal BIG sandwich.
Now? Even the MEGA-O-FISH seems like a slider masquerading as a sandwich.
It’s been forever since I had a Filet O’ Fish. American cheese on that thing, yes? Your photo tempts to build my own facsimile at home, using supermarket ingredients, for nostalgia’s sake.
Canadian Filet o’Fish is currently a 138 gram serving.
I wonder how much serving sizes vary from country to country.
Canadian Burger King Big Fish Sandwich is a bit bigger.
I typically get 4 Filet-O-Fish sandwiches just to get partially satiated.
If I don’t chase them down with a vanilla milkshake, I leave hangry. Like fckuing hangry.
Yeah. It takes me 2-3 mcchickens to feel like the edge is off.
